biography

Thundercow formed in 1997, the brainchild of writing partners Geeson and Williams, after seeing a flyer for the upcoming school concert. Once the blues angle was established, the recruiting of saxophonist Davie Nes was no less than essential and the trio were soon jamming in the front room of Gordon and Davie Cee's place. The origins of their band name still remains a mystery...

After writing their first number, the somewhat inventively named "Chipati Cookie Blues", the band combined this with a cover of "Granite" for their 10 minute set at the school. The performance was an instant hit with the audience, and even caught the attention of Northsound Radio/Grampian Television's Gary Stein.
